The blinds went up a few minutes after three table play started and the action picked up from there. Three eliminations have taken place over the last couple of minutes to bring the field down to 23 players.
The first to go was Phy Pham, who was eliminated at the hands of Andre Allen. Pham open jammed from under the gun for 460,000 with K♣J♠ and would be trailing the A♠Q♠ of Allen. An ace on the flop effectively ended the matter and Allen chipped up to 1,750,000.
The next to go was Trilok Ghanshyam who met his demise at the hands of Brady Thorpe. In a blind-on-blind matchup, the chips went all-in on a board of 6♥3♣2♠. Thorpe held 8♣8♠ and would need to hold against the 7♦3♦ of Ghanshyam. Fortunately for Thorpe, he did hold and is up to 1,200,000 as a result. After being down to 10,000 earlier in the day, Ghanshyam has much to be pleased about with his finish.
Finally, Ken Blanton was sent out. After doubling up Schuyler Thornton in a previous hand, Blanton was left short and moved in with K♦J♣. Thornton called with K♥9♦ and would be behind going to the flop. The 9♥ paired Thornton and Blanton would hit the rail.
