Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 1,224
Total Players Remaining: 12
Chip Average: 2,040,000

13th Place: Dean Bobel ($13,666)

Level 33 was the quietest level in quite some time as almost came and went with zero fanfare. Nearly every player was all-in at some point but the vast majority of the shoves went uncalled and the ones that did, did not end in elimination. That is until literally the last pitch before players went on break as Dean Bobel busted at the hands of Brady Thorpe.

It’s one thing to pick up good hands and get value. For Thorpe, he has picked up monsters on numerous occasions and gotten max value nearly every time. This occasion was no different as Thorpe chopped down Bobel with the blades.

From the small blind, Thorpe put in a raise to 165,000 and Bobel came over the top from the big blind for 1,150,000 total. As soon as the words left Bobel’s lips, Thorpe called with A♣A♠ to put Bobel and his A2 on the ropes.

The K♣J♣8♣ flop essentially ended matters as Bobel took his leave in 13th place while Thorpe is now up to 5,200,000 and is the new chip leader.

Play will resume shortly with the unofficial final table on the horizon with the average stack now only 20 big blinds.
