PNIA Main Event (Day 1C): Consistency Is A Major Key

Level 17 (1,200/2,400/400)
Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 1,224
Total PNIA Main Event Day 1C Entries: 682

Total Players Remaining: 215

18 levels are a tremendously long time to play poker and not come away with anything to show for it. One way players try to cut down on the variance aspect of these Day 1s is to gradually build a stack and avoid major confrontation whenever possible. While some players have seen their stacks swing across the pendulum, a few have built slowly and are closing in on putting a healthy amount in the bag.

Tzu Yen is nearing the 200,000 chip mark and is the last remaining player from his original starting table. Yen crossed the $100,000 mark for career live earnings this summer and will likely return to play tomorrow with a chance to earn his second career title at Choctaw.
Similar to Yen, Miguel Hernandez, has been on the slight uptick for most of play today. Hernandez is hovering around 150,000 and his opponents will likely need a crowbar to wrench chips away from him. Hernandez cashed in this summer’s World Poker Tour event at Choctaw and is in position to earn a second consecutive Main Event payout.
