PNIA Main Event (Day 1B): Two Short Stacks Looking To Spin Up

It can get frustrating sitting around with a short stack for hours on end without much to play with. For the more experienced players in the field, they are familiar with these types of lulls and are patiently awaiting the rush that will send their respecitve stacks skyrocketing.

There’s a reason why Allen Kessler is among the all-time leaders in tournament cashes. The man can work a short stack like no one else and is utilizing that skill set today. Kessler has been low on ammo for most of the day but it will come as no surprise to see “The Chainsaw” bagging chips when Level 18 comes to an end.
While a little bit more well-stacked than Kessler, Dean Baranowski has faced similar hardship today building a stack. Baranowski knows what it takes to make it through these doldrums as his $427,000 in tournament earnings can attest to. Should the right cards come along at the right time, Baranowski could soon be shooting up the counts.
