Jeremy Meacham already has a place in Day 2 of the Poker Night in America Main Event and his brother Henry isn’t far behind him. The latter Meacham recently sent a player to the rail and is now approaching 200,000 with less than an hour before the end of the night.
We noted earlier the action table of Meacham’s that includes chip leader Todd Breyfogle along with Matt Glantz. Meacham is now higher up on the food chain after adding about 65,000 to his stack following the elimination of Bill Buford.
Meacham opened the action to 5,100 from under the gun and found calls from Neil Volaski in early position and Glantz in the hijack. Buford squeezed all-in for about 45,000 from the small blind and action folded back to Meacham. After getting an official count of Buford’s shove, Meacham called and the two initial callers released their hands.
Buford showed A♠Q♦ and would need to hit against Meacham’s 8♣8♠. The 10♣9♠7♦ gave Buford a few backdoor outs and increased his number of outs on the J♦ turn. The 7♠ turn wasn’t what he was looking for, though, and Meacham raked in the pot to move up to about 190,000.
