PNIA Main Event (Day 1A): Double Threat Chan Pelton Goes For A Second Choctaw Title

Level 14 (700/1,400/200)
Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 188
Players Remaining: 51

Chan Pelton is immortalized in Choctaw Championship glory but will also be one of the players in this weekend’s Poker Night in America cash games.

We’ve referenced a few times today the banners that hang around the Grand Theater that honor past Choctaw Main Event champions. While most players that have been referred to in conjunction with the banners have come close to earning a place in the sky but have come up short, Chan Pelton does not meet that criterion as he is the proud winner of a previous Choctaw championship.

Pelton took down the 2015 Card Player Poker Tour Championship in April 2015 and earned $130,000 in the process. That win marks the largest score of Pelton’s career that includes victories on a few other tours and over $560,000 in career earnings.

Along with his tournament accolades, Pelton will also be playing in Saturday’s Poker Night in America Cash Game session. Given his lengthy tournament resume, Pelton will be one to watch in not only the cash game but the Poker Night in America Main Event as well as he grinds his way toward a bag.
