PNIA Main Event (Day 1A): View From The Top

Level 16 (1,000/2,000/300)
Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 188
Players Remaining: 41

Phillip Barch has been out in front of the Day 1A field for most of play and is closing in on bagging the chip lead from this flight.

After a period of time where most of the field was stuck together like rush hour traffic, the big stacks from today’s flight are finally starting set themselves apart from the rest of the field. Phillip Barch is still in command of the overall chip lead after a day of poker where seemingly nothing has gone wrong for the Texan.

Barch is up to 270,000 but Jeremy Meacham is right behind him. Since taking a cooler at the hands of Patrick Hesser a few levels ago, Meacham has rebounded nicely and is back up to 250,000. There are a few levels left to go before the bags come out but if most of today has been any indication, we can make an inference that it will be Barch and Meacham one and two, in some order when play wraps up. A listing of the current chip leaders is below.

Phillip Barch – 270,000
Jeremy Meacham – 250,000
Greg Jennings – 210,000
Andy Hwang – 180,000
Patrick Hesser – 160,000
Shan Rizvi – 140,000
Nick Seiken – 120,000
