PNIA Main Event (Day 1A): Jeremy Meacham Bags Chip Lead, Andrew Watson Right Behind Him

Level 18 (1,500/3,000/500)
Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 188
Players Remaining: 27

Jeremy Meacham battled through plenty of adversity on Day 1A but came out on the other side smiling as he is the chip leader from this flight with 359,000.

The end has been reached for the opening flight of the Poker Night in America $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. Of the 188 entrants in today’s flight, 27 have advanced to Sunday’s Day 2. Leading the way for those 27 is Jeremy Meacham who bagged 359,000 after riding a roller coaster throughout the day but found a way to end on a high note.

For those following the blog for all of today, Meacham was in the field from the start of play and was among the chip leaders for most of the day before getting with a flush-over-flush scenario that knocked him back to the pack. After that, though, Meacham rebuilt and has a massive stack to show for it.

Joining him from this flight include featured players from earlier today including Esther Taylor, David Baker, Chan Pelton and the chip leader for most of the day Phillip Barch, who put 165,000 in the bag.

Among the players who made a move late in the night to chip up include Andrew Watson, who bagged 325,000. Watson won a hefty portion of those chips in a late confrontation with Greg Jennings that effectively sent the latter to the rail. Given how many chips Meacham and Watson bagged, it will be interesting to see what the chip leaders at the end of Day 1B end up with considering how many more overall chips will be in play.

A full listing of the chip counts from Day 1A will be posted when it is available, but in the meantime, below is a list of the top stacks coming out of this flight.

Jeremy Meacham – 359,000
Andrew Watson – 325,000
Richard Barker – 222,000
Edward Zipp – 213,000
Leeann Hammond – 205,000
Phillip Barch – 165,000
Shan Rizvi – 155,000
