PNIA Main Event (Day 1A): Nearing The Breakout

Level 4 (75/150)
Total PNIA Main Event Entries: 139

One of the many benefits of playing in an event such as this Poker Night in America Championship is the chance to achieve the sought after breakout score. Choctaw has given numerous players that score in recent years and will do so once again in this PNIA Main Event.

John Song has over $144,000 in career tournament earnings and has been on the cusp of his live breakthrough for quite some time one. Song cashed in this summer’s World Series of Poker Main Event and preceded that score with a deep run in April’s PNIA Main Event at Choctaw. Those two cashes earned Song $21,000 as he opens his Choctaw Championship account on Day 1A.
Richard Alati came dangerously close to his first career six-figure score in June 2015 when he took 15th place in the WSOP “Monster Stack” event for a $72,000 score. That score accounts for the larger portion of Alati’s $167,000 in tournament earnings. Despite his previous tournament success, Alati has yet to make his way to the Choctaw payout cage and hopes to rectify that gap in his tournament resume this weekend.
